APPEAL
TO BUILD A NEW CHURCH DEDICATED
TO
ST. VINCENT PALLOTTI
Dear Friends/ well-wishers,
On 7th December 1997, His Excellency William D’Mello, Bishop of Karwar Diocese established the new parish bifurcating from the main parish of St. John the Baptist, Kumta and dedicated it to St. Vincent Pallotti and entrusted the same to the Pallotine Fathers. Fr. Freddy D’Souza SA C was appointed the first parish priest and since then he has been taking care of all round development of the parish consisting of four villages, namely Chitrigi, Plot, Kadle and Holanagade.
At present the religious functions/activities are being conducted in a small chapel which is old and can hardly accommodate the increasing number of the parishioners. In the systematic development and functioning of the parish, the construction of a new church is an urgent need. The church will be built in a centrally located place. The estimated cost of the church is Rupees Twenty Five Lakhs. Most of the people are economically backward and it is beyond their means to raise even a small part of this sum from their own resources. Hence we appeal to you for your generous donation towards the construction of the new Church. Your contribution, however big or small will be highly appreciated. Donations of Rs. 5000/- and above.... names will be engraved on the
